# Get a product by ID

`GET /v1/product/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.finalpos.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.finalpos.com/v1/product/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Retrieves a single product by its unique identifier.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

The product has been successfully retrieved.

  - `id` string: Unique identifier for the Product.
  - `createdAt` string, date-time: Timestamp when the Product was created.
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time: Timestamp when the Product was last updated.
  - `companyId` string: Company ID associated with the Product.
  - `name` string: Name of the product.
  - `productType` string: Type of the product. (simple or variable)
  - `source` string: Source of the product.
  - `externalId` string: External ID of the product.
  - `description` string: Description of the product.
  - `shortDescription` string: Short description of the product.
  - `sku` string: SKU of the product.
  - `images` string[]: Images of the product.
  - `tags` string[]: Tags of the product.
  - `status` 'active' | 'inactive' | 'draft': Status of the product.
  - `notSoldInPos` boolean: Not sold on its own at the POS (till, flows). Missing = sold. Both flags set = Unlisted.
  - `notSoldOnline` boolean: Not sold online (web shop, public API orders). Missing = sold. Both flags set = Unlisted.
  - `minPrice` number: Min price of the product in the lowest currency unit.
  - `maxPrice` number: Max price of the product in the lowest currency unit.
  - `supplier` string: Supplier of the product.
  - `taxTable` string: Tax table of the product.
  - `bookingRulesId` string: Booking rule set of the product (productType "booking" only). Reusable, referenced the way taxTable is.
  - `defaultVariantId` string: Default variant of the product. Must be one of its own variants.
  - `categories` string[]: Categories of the product.

    - `key` string, required: Key of the metadata entry.
    - `value` string, required: Value of the metadata entry.
    - `externalId` string: External ID associated with the metadata entry.
  - `attributes` AttributeEmbeddedDto[]: Attributes associated with the Product.
    - `name` string, required: Name of the attribute.
    - `values` string[]: Values of the attribute.
    - `value` string: Value of the attribute.
  - `barcode` string: Barcode of the product.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request. Returns validation errors or other request-related errors.
- `404`: The product was not found. The resource was not found.
