# Create a new inventory

`POST /v1/inventory`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.finalpos.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.finalpos.com/v1/inventory`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Creates a new inventory record.

## Request body

- InventoryCreateDto
  - `productId` string, required: Product ID of the Stock.
  - `variantId` string, required: Variant ID of the Stock.
  - `outletId` string, required: Outlet ID of the Stock.
  - `manageStock` boolean, required: Whether the tuple manages stock. If false, quantity is treated as infinite.
  - `quantity` number, required: Quantity of the Stock.

## Response `201`

The inventory has been successfully created.

  - `id` string: Unique identifier for the Inventory.
  - `createdAt` string, date-time: Timestamp when the Inventory was created.
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time: Timestamp when the Inventory was last updated.
  - `companyId` string: Company ID associated with the Inventory.
  - `productId` string: Product ID of the Stock.
  - `variantId` string: Variant ID of the Stock.
  - `outletId` string: Outlet ID of the Stock.
  - `manageStock` boolean: Whether the tuple manages stock. If false, quantity is treated as infinite.
  - `quantity` number: Quantity of the Stock.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request. Returns validation errors or other request-related errors.
