# Create a new submittal

- SubmittalCreateInput: Schema for creating a Submittal
  - `submittal` object: Entity that represents a Submittal document
    - `name` string, required: Name of the Submittal. Must be unique between Submittals under the same parent.
    - `description` string, nullable: Description of the Submittal
    - `device_created_at` string, date-time: Time when the device created the entity
    - `device_updated_at` string, date-time: Time when the device last updated the entity
    - `spec_section_id` string, uuid, nullable: ID of the spec section the Submittal is associated with
    - `submittal_type_id` string, uuid, nullable: ID of the type the Submittal is associated with
    - `creator_user_id` integer: ID of the user who created this entity
    - `last_editor_user_id` integer: ID of the user who most recently edited this entity
    - `lead_time` integer, nullable: The number of weeks it takes to get the submittal material on-site after it is approved and closed (includes fabrication and shipping time)
    - `on_site_date` string, date, nullable: The first day in the construction schedule that the submittal's material is needed
