# Create a new signature

`POST /api/v3/projects/{project_id}/signatures`

- SignatureCreateInput: Schema for creating signatures
  - `id` string, uuid: ID of the entity
  - `creator_user_id` integer, required: ID of the user who created this entity
  - `last_editor_user_id` integer, required: ID of the user who most recently edited this entity
  - `file_url` string, nullable: URL of the file that carries the signature. Either this or signature_string is required.
  - `signing_as` string, nullable: Name of the user who signed
  - `signer_designation` string, nullable: Job Title, Company of the user who signed
  - `signature_string` string, nullable: String/Text to represent the signature of the user who signed. Either this or file_url is required.
  - `device_created_at` string, date-time: Time when the device created the entity
  - `device_updated_at` string, date-time: Time when the device last updated the entity

Successful response

- Signature: Entity that denotes a user's signature
  - `id` string, uuid, required: ID of the entity
  - `creator_user_id` integer, required: ID of the user who created this entity
  - `last_editor_user_id` integer, required: ID of the user who most recently edited this entity
  - `project_id` string, uuid, required: ID of the project this entity belongs to
  - `file_url` string, nullable: URL of the file that carries the signature. Either this or signature_string is required.
  - `signing_as` string, nullable: Name of the user who signed
  - `signer_designation` string, nullable: Job Title, Company of the user who signed
  - `signature_string` string, nullable: String/Text to represent the signature of the user who signed. Either this or file_url is required.
  - `deleted_at` string, date-time, nullable: Time the server deleted the entity
  - `device_created_at` string, date-time, required: Time when the device created the entity
  - `device_updated_at` string, date-time, required: Time when the device last updated the entity
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: Time when the server created the entity
  - `resolved_conflict` boolean, required: Specifies if PUT/PATCH request was rejected - do not store this field!
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: Time when the server last updated the entity
