# Check Slug Availability

`GET /v1/status-pages/slug-available`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.fettle.sh` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Check whether a public slug is still free.

The slug is normalized the same way creation normalizes it, and the
response echoes that canonical form. A slug that could never be created —
invalid characters, or a name the platform reserves — comes back as simply
unavailable.
