# Register

`POST /v1/auth/register`

## Request

Start agent registration. Returns a challenge to sign.

If the public key is already registered, returns 409 with
the existing agent_id hint.

## Request body

- RegisterRequest
  - `agent_name` string, required: Human-readable name for the agent.
  - `public_key` string, required: Base64-encoded Ed25519 public key.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- RegisterResponse
  - `registration_id` string, required: Unique ID for this registration attempt.
  - `challenge` string, required: Random challenge string to sign with your private key.

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
