# Create a highlight on an article

`POST /api/v1/articles/{id}/highlights`

## Request

Creates a highlight on an article. The `text` must appear verbatim in the article content, so fetch the article with `GET /api/v1/articles/{id}` first and copy the passage exactly. Paraphrased or invented text is rejected with a validation error. Requires the `write` scope.
