# Get a fax record

`GET /accounts/{user_id}/faxes/{fax_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://restapi.fax.plus/v3`
- URL: `https://restapi.fax.plus/v3/accounts/{user_id}/faxes/{fax_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `https://accounts.fax.plus/login?response_type=code&client_id=YOUR_CLIENT_ID&redirect_uri=http://localhost&scope=all`
    - Token URL: `https://accounts.fax.plus/token` scopes: `all`
  - HTTP bearer

Get a specific fax record details like duration, pages etc. (Permitted scopes: **fax:all:read**, **fax:fax:read**)

Response containing a single fax object

  - `comment` string, required: Free-form comment
  - `cost` integer: Fax cost in the user currency

    - `multiplier` number

  - `direction` 'outgoing' | 'incoming': Fax direction
  - `duration` integer: Fax transmission duration in seconds
  - `file` string: Fax file ID for the getFile handle
  - `file_name` string: Human-readable file name
  - `from` string: Sender number. Might be a userId for faxes sent or received with free accounts
  - `header` string
  - `id` string, required: Fax ID
  - `is_read` boolean
  - `is_spam` boolean: True if the fax is marked as spam
  - `last_update` string
  - `max_retry` integer: Maximum number of retries
  - `owner_id` string, required: User ID of the fax owner
  - `pages` integer, required: Number of pages in the fax
  - `retry_delay` integer: Delay in minutes between two retries (0-720)
  - `scheduled_time` string
  - `start_time` string: Time at which faxing session started. Format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss

  - `submit_time` string: Time when the fax was submitted for sending. For outgoing faxes only
  - `to` string: Fax destination number. Might be a userId for faxes sent or received with free accounts
  - `cover_page` FaxCoverPage: Fax cover page
    - `name_to` string, required: TO field on the cover page
    - `name_from` string, required: FROM field on the cover page
    - `subject` string, required: SUBJECT field on the cover page
    - `flags` CoverPageFlags[]: Cover page flags
    - `message` string: MESSAGE field on the cover page
    - `include_company_logo` boolean: Whether to include the company logo on the cover page
  - `shared_comment` FaxSharedComment: Shared note visible to all members of the corporate account
    - `text` string, required: Shared note text
    - `editor_name` string, required: Name of the member who last edited the note
    - `modification_date` string, required: Time when the note was last edited

## Other responses

- `400`: Error object in case there's a problem with given data
- `404`: Requested resource was not found
- `500`: Error object in case there's a server error
