# Plate appearances

`POST /v1/get_plate_appearances`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mcp.fastballapi.com`
- URL: `https://mcp.fastballapi.com/v1/get_plate_appearances`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Use for plate-appearance play-by-play: a whole game in order, or a batter's, pitcher's or team's season, with the base-out state before, the result, the batted ball (trajectory and location), runs, the win probability after (2019 on) and our run value (RE24). Filter by result, inning or runners in scoring position. Costs 10 credits.

## Request body

  - `game_id` string
  - `batter_id` string
  - `pitcher_id` string
  - `team` string: Batting team (id or abbreviation).
  - `season` union: Season (a year; default: the latest; ignored with game_id).
    - number
    - string
  - `season_type` 'regular' | 'postseason'
  - `result` string: e.g. home-run, strikeout, walk, single, double, ground-out.
  - `inning` integer
  - `risp` boolean: Runners in scoring position only.
  - `limit` integer: Max rows (default 200).
  - `offset` integer
  - `league` 'mlb' | 'ncaabase': League. Defaults to mlb. One of: mlb, ncaabase.

The result, wrapped in data.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid arguments.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: Not enough credits.
