# Pitches

`POST /v1/get_pitches`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mcp.fastballapi.com`
- URL: `https://mcp.fastballapi.com/v1/get_pitches`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Use for pitch-by-pitch data: every pitch of a game, or a pitcher's or batter's season, with the count, pitch type, velocity, location and result. Costs 10 credits.

## Request body

- object
  - `game_id` string
  - `pitcher_id` string
  - `batter_id` string
  - `season` union: Season (a year; default: the latest; ignored with game_id).
    - number
    - string
  - `pitch_type` string: Pitch type code, e.g. FF, SL, CH, CU, SI, FC.
  - `limit` integer: Max pitches (default 500).
  - `offset` integer

## Response `200`

The result, wrapped in data.

    - `count` number, required
    - `next_offset` number, nullable
    - `note` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid arguments.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: Not enough credits.
- `429`: Rate limited.
