# Leaders

`POST /v1/get_leaders`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mcp.fastballapi.com`
- URL: `https://mcp.fastballapi.com/v1/get_leaders`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Use for a season's leaders among qualified players: batting avg, obp, slg, ops, hr, re24, bb_pct, k_pct (3.1 plate appearances per team game) or pitching era, whip, so, k_per_9, bb_per_9 (1 inning per team game). Costs 5 credits.

## Request body

  - `stat` 'avg' | 'obp' | 'slg' | 'ops' | 'hr' | 're24' | 'bb_pct' | 'k_pct' | 'era' | 'whip' | 'so' | 'k_per_9' | 'bb_per_9', required
  - `season` union: Season (a year, e.g. 2025; default: the latest).
    - number
    - string
  - `min_pa` integer: Override the plate-appearance minimum.
  - `min_ip` integer: Override the innings minimum.
  - `limit` integer
  - `league` 'mlb' | 'ncaabase': League. Defaults to mlb. One of: mlb, ncaabase.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid arguments.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
