# Games

`POST /v1/get_games`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mcp.fastballapi.com`
- URL: `https://mcp.fastballapi.com/v1/get_games`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Use to list games with runs, hits and errors by season, date, date range or team, newest first. For upcoming games with lines use get_schedule; for one game's box score use get_game. Costs 2 credits.

## Request body

- object
  - `season` union: Season (a year, e.g. 2025; default: the latest).
    - number
    - string
  - `season_type` 'regular' | 'postseason': regular or postseason (default both).
  - `team` string: Team id or abbreviation.
  - `date` string: One date, YYYY-MM-DD (US Eastern).
  - `from` string: From date, YYYY-MM-DD.
  - `to` string: To date, YYYY-MM-DD.
  - `status` 'scheduled' | 'final'
  - `limit` integer: Max games (default 50).
  - `offset` integer
  - `league` 'mlb' | 'ncaabase': League. Defaults to mlb. One of: mlb, ncaabase.

## Response `200`

The result, wrapped in data.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid arguments.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: Not enough credits.
- `429`: Rate limited.
