# Create a template folder

`POST /chats/templates/folders`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.fanvue.com`
- URL: `https://api.fanvue.com/chats/templates/folders`
- Auth: OAuth 2
  - Authorization code: `https://auth.fanvue.com/oauth2/auth`
  - Token URL: `https://auth.fanvue.com/oauth2/token` scopes: `write:chat`

Creates a template folder for the creator. Use the returned `uuid` as `folderUuid` when creating templates with POST /chats/templates.

  - `name` string, required: Template folder name

## Response `201`

Template folder created

  - `uuid` string, uuid, required: Template folder UUID
  - `name` string, required: Template folder name

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request - API version not supported OR validation failed
- `401`: Unauthorized Response
- `403`: Unauthorized Response
- `409`: A folder with this name already exists
- `410`: API version no longer supported (sunset)
- `429`: Too many requests - rate limit exceeded
