# Update Knowledge Base

`PUT /user/knowledgebases/{id}`

Update an existing Famulor knowledge base via API. Rename, change settings or modify metadata for the source data feeding your AI voice assistants.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string: The new name for the knowledge base (max. 255 characters)
  - `description` string: The new description for the knowledge base (max. 255 characters)

  - `data` object: The updated knowledge base object
    - `id` integer: The unique identifier of the knowledge base
    - `name` string: The name of the knowledge base
    - `description` string: Description of the knowledge base
    - `status` string: Current status
    - `status_label` string: Human-readable status label
    - `updated_at` string: ISO 8601 timestamp of last update

## Other responses

- `401`: Fehlender oder ungültiger API-Key.
- `404`: Not Found
- `422`: Validation Error
