# Set Current Tree Id

`POST /trees/current`

Set the id of the current tree.

## Headers

- `Content-Type` 'application/x-fs-v1+json' | 'application/json', required

## Request body

- SetCurrentTree
  - `trees` object[], required: Array containing the tree ID to set as current.
    - `id` string, required: The ID of the tree to set as current. Use 'GLOBAL' for the FamilySearch public/global tree, or provide a user tree ID. To find user tree IDs, see <a href="/reference/getgroups" target="_blank">Read User's Groups</a>, or <a href="/reference/createtree" target="_blank">Create Tree</a> to create a new user tree.

## Response `204`

Successfully set the id of the current tree

## Other responses

- `429`: The request was throttled.
