# Delete Group

`DELETE /groups/{groupid}`

## Request

Delete a user tree group. A user tree group is represented as a Gedcomx [`Group`](#schema-Group).

## Path parameters

- `groupid` string, required

## Response `204`

The requested user tree group has been deleted.

## Other responses

- `404`: The requested user tree group does not exist.
- `409`: The attempt to delete the requested user tree group was made while another request committed a change to the user tree group.
- `429`: The request was throttled.
