# Create Couple Relationship Source Reference

`POST /tree/couple-relationships/{crid}/source-references`

Create a couple relationship source reference.

## Request body

- CreateCoupleRelationshipSourceReference
  - `relationships` object[], required: Array containing exactly one relationship with source references to add. See <a href="https://developers.familysearch.org/main/docs/json-schema#relationship" target="_blank">Relationship Schema (JSON)</a>
    - `sources` object[]: Array of source references to add to the couple relationship. See <a href="https://developers.familysearch.org/main/docs/json-schema#sourcereference" target="_blank">SourceReference Schema (JSON)</a>
      - `description` string, required: The ID of the source description. To find source description IDs, see <a href="/reference/readusersourcedescriptions" target="_blank">Read User Source Descriptions</a>, or <a href="/reference/createsourcedescription" target="_blank">Create Source Description</a> to create a new source description.

## Response `201`

The creation of the source reference was successful. Expect a location header specifying the link to the created source reference.

## Other responses

- `400`: If the request was unable to be understood by the application.
- `404`: The specified person has been moved, deleted, or otherwise not found.
- `429`: The request was throttled.
