# Create Source Folder

`POST /sources/collections`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://apibeta.familysearch.org/platform`
- URL: `https://apibeta.familysearch.org/platform/sources/collections`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Create a user-defined collection. The default source folder is the folder without a name. If a folder isn't specified when a source is attached, the source will be put in the default folder.

- `Content-Type` 'application/x-fs-v1+json' | 'application/x-gedcomx-v1+json' | 'application/x-fs-v1+xml' | 'application/x-gedcomx-v1+xml', required

## Request body

- CreateSourceFolder
  - `collections` object[], required: Array containing the source folder to create. Only one source folder may be created per request.
    - `title` string, required: The name of the source folder

## Response `201`

The request was successful. Expect an Entity-Id header specifying the id of the created collection.

## Other responses

- `400`: If the collection to be created already exits or has an invalid name.
