# Initiate lease termination from notice

`POST /leases/{lease_id}/termination`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.faireplace.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.faireplace.com/api/leases/{lease_id}/termination`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Initiates the termination process for a lease after a notice (congé) has been received.
Creates a `LeaseTermination` orchestrator with a checklist adapted to the lease type.
Transitions the lease from `ACTIVE` to `NOTICE`.

**Idempotent:** If a termination already exists for this lease, returns the existing one.

**Permissions required:** `leases:write`

    - `required_for_completion` boolean: If true, must be checked before completing termination
    - `completed` boolean
    - `completed_at` string, date-time, nullable
    - `completed_by` string, uuid, nullable
  - `completion_percentage` integer
  - `can_complete` boolean: True if all required checklist items are completed
  - `created_at` string, date-time
  - `updated_at` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `400`: Notice not in valid status or invalid transition
- `404`: Lease or notice not found
