# Delete inventory item

`DELETE /inventory/items/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.faireplace.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.faireplace.com/api/inventory/items/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Deletes an inventory item and all its associated data.

**Cascade deletion behavior**:
- All `room_inventory` junctions (links with rooms) are automatically deleted
- All `inventory_condition_history` records are automatically deleted
- All `inventory_photo` associations are automatically deleted (the media files themselves are not deleted)

The deletion is atomic: either everything is deleted, or nothing is deleted in case of an error.

**Note**: This operation is irreversible. Make sure the inventory item can be deleted before calling this endpoint.

## Response `204`

Inventory item and all its associated data deleted successfully
