# Get a country by ISO code

`GET /countries/code/{code}`

## Request

Retrieves a single country by its ISO code (e.g. `FR`).

## Path parameters

- `code` string, required

## Response `200`

The country.

- Country: A country reference entry. Countries are global reference data used across the platform (e.g. to resolve rent regulation rules, address normalization, and ISO code lookups). Field names match the JSON payload exactly (no renaming).
  - `id` string, uuid, required: Unique country identifier.
  - `code` string, required: ISO country code (typically ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, e.g. `FR`, `BE`, `DE`).
  - `name` string, required: Human-readable country name.
  - `is_active` boolean, required: Whether the country is active. The `GET /countries` list endpoint returns only active countries.
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: Creation timestamp (ISO 8601).
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: Last update timestamp (ISO 8601).

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not found
- `500`: Internal Server Error
