# Reads all Absences

`GET /api/2026-10-01/resources/employee_updates/absences`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.factorialhr.com`
- URL: `https://api.factorialhr.com/api/2026-10-01/resources/employee_updates/absences`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `https://id.factorialhr.com/oauth/authorize`
    - Token URL: `https://id.factorialhr.com/api/oauth/token` scopes: `employee_updates`
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

This endpoint can be used to retrieve a list of absence `employee updates`.

## Query parameters

- `ids[]` string[]: filter by absence incidence ids.

    - `employee_id` string: Employee id of the absence

    - `description` string: A description of the absence
    - `start_on` string: The start date of the absence
    - `prev_start_on` string: The previous start date of the absence
    - `finish_on` string: The end date of the absence
    - `prev_finish_on` string: The previous end date of the absence
    - `half_day` string: Indicates if the absence is taken as a half-day
    - `hours_amount_in_cents` integer: The total number of hours taken for the absence, represented in cents
    - `leave_type_id` string: The id of the leave type
    - `leave_type_name` string: The name of the leave type
