# Accept an invitation

`POST /v1beta/organizations/{organization_id}/invites/accept`

Accepts the invitation and adds the authenticated user as a member of the organization. The authenticated user's verified email must match the invitation email (case-insensitive). Returns PERMISSION_DENIED if emails don't match, FAILED_PRECONDITION if the user is already a member, or NOT_FOUND if the invitation is invalid/expired.

## Path parameters

- `organization_id` string, required — Organization the invitation belongs to (for validation). Pattern: org_[0-9a-hjkmnp-tv-z]{26}

## Request body

- object — AcceptOrganizationInviteRequest contains the token to accept an invitation.
  - `token` string, required — The invitation token from the email link.

## Response `200`

Success

- AcceptOrganizationInviteResponse — AcceptOrganizationInviteResponse contains the organization the user joined.
  - `organization` Organization, required — Organization represents a Factify organization.
    - `created_at` string, date-time, required — Timestamp when the organization was created.
    - `id` string, required — Unique ID for the organization. Pattern: org_[0-9a-hjkmnp-tv-z]{26}
    - `logo_image_url` string, nullable — Optional — organizations may not have a logo.
    - `name` string, required — Human-readable organization name.

## Other responses

- `400` — Invalid request parameters
- `401` — Authentication failed - missing or invalid API key
- `403` — Authorization failed - valid key but insufficient permissions
- `404` — Resource not found
- `429` — Too many requests
- `500` — Internal server error
