# Return original configuration by machine ID

`GET /config/{machineId}`

Retrieve the original configuration of a device by machine ID.

## Path parameters

- `machineId` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Retrieval was successful.

- Config — The original configuration of a device.
  - `id` string, uuid
  - `selfLink` string, uri
  - `result` Result — Standard result object in responses.
    - `class` 'Result'
    - `code` integer — Status code.
    - `status` 'OK' | 'ERROR' | 'ROLLING_BACK' | 'RUNNING' | 'REBOOTING' | 'REVOKING' — Status string.
    - `message` string — Overall result message.
    - `errors` string[] — Array of errors that occurred.
  - `Common` object — A collection of sub-objects that describe the configuration state of a device.

## Other responses

- `404` — ID not found.
- `500` — Something went wrong internally and a bug report should be filed: https://github.com/F5Networks/f5-declarative-onboarding/issues/new/choose.
