# Delete Dashboard

`DELETE /dashboards/{name}`

Performs a soft delete, whereby the deleted flag is set to true and the Dashboard is automatically excluded from search results.  The Dashboard can still be requested directly by name, and undeleted.  The delete operation creates a new Revision.

## Response `200`

The deleted Dashboard, including auto-populated fields such as date, rev, etc.

  - `date` string, date-time — Date/time of the last modification.
  - `deleted` boolean — Indicates whether or not the Dashboard is deleted.
  - `rev` integer — Current revision number of the Dashboard.
  - `tags` string[] — Image URL representing the product.
  - `createdBy` CreatedBy
    - `sAMAccountName` string

  - `lastUpdatedBy` LastUpdatedBy

  - `viewers` Viewer[] — If provided, contains the list of users/groups with authorization to view this Dashboard.

    - `displayName` string — Display name of the User.

    - `category` string — Type of account, e.g. user, group
  - `editors` Editor[] — If provided, contains the list of users/groups with authorization to edit this Dashboard.
    - `sAMAccountName` string — Username of the User.
    - `displayName` string — Display name of the User.
    - `dn` string — LDAP distinguished name.
    - `mail` string — Email address
    - `category` string — Type of account, e.g. user, group
  - `visits` integer — If Analytics is enabled, this counter records the total number of visits, or times this Dashboard was loaded. Cannot be set manually.
  - `pageViews` integer — If Analytics is enabled, this counter records the total number of page views, or times a page in this Dashboard was viewed. Each visit may have multiple page views. Cannot be set manually.
  - `likes` string[] — Contains a list of users who 'like' this Dashboard.

## Other responses

- `400` — Missing Dashboard name.
- `401` — Authentication required: session key not provided.
- `403` — Edit Permission denied for this Dashboard.
- `404` — Dashboard not found.
- `500` — Server error.
