# List every dataset behind expatliving.it

`GET /datasets`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.expatliving.it/api/v1`
- URL: `https://www.expatliving.it/api/v1/datasets`
- Auth: none declared

The catalog: every dataset's source, vintage (the period it describes), geographic grain, license, human-readable page, and whether it is currently servable. A dataset still in draft status is listed with servable: false and returns no values elsewhere in the API until it is verified — publishing the gap is deliberate.

## Response `200`

The dataset catalog.

- object
  - `datasets` object[], required
    - `slug` string, required
    - `label` string, required
    - `source` string, required: The institution to cite, e.g. "ISTAT" or "Eurostat".
    - `sourceUrl` string, required: Where this dataset was fetched from upstream.
    - `vintage` string, required: The period the data describes, e.g. "2025H2", "2024" or "2015–2024" — not when it was fetched.
    - `extractedOn` string, required: ISO date this dataset was extracted from the source.
    - `license` string, required
    - `grain` 'comune' | 'province' | 'region' | 'nuts2' | 'nuts3' | 'national', required: The geographic level the source publishes at. NUTS 2 and NUTS 3 are Eurostat/OECD statistical regions — close to, but not the same as, Italy's regions and provinces. Never present a coarser-grain value as if it were measured for one comune.
    - `servable` boolean, required: False while a hand-curated dataset is still "draft" (unverified against its legislation). A non-servable dataset returns no values anywhere in this API.
    - `page` string: The human-readable page for this dataset on expatliving.it — link readers here.
    - `download` string: The whole dataset as published JSON: a meta block (provenance, unit, grain) and every place's value.
  - `attribution` object, required
    - `publisher` string, required
    - `url` string, required
    - `page` string: The expatliving.it page these figures come from — link it when you quote them.
    - `citeAs` string, required: A ready-made citation line.
    - `request` string, required
