# Adopt Excellence Course Route

`POST /excellence-courses/{key}/adopt`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.excellence-ai.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.excellence-ai.com/excellence-courses/{key}/adopt`
- Auth: OAuth 2 (password, token URL `api/login`)

Copy the course into one of the caller's own: a teacher course (root
of « Cours ») for a teacher, a course of their own (`/my-courses/:id`)
for a student. Each call makes a new copy. 404 for an unknown key.

- `key` string, required

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- AdoptExcellenceCourseResponse: The course the adoption created (a teacher course for a teacher, a course of their own for a student).
  - `course_id` string, required

## Other responses

- `404`: Resource not found
- `422`: Validation Error
