# Send a test copy of a broadcast

`POST /broadcasts/{id}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.eusend.dev`
- URL: `https://api.eusend.dev/broadcasts/{id}/test`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delivers the real message to up to 5 addresses on your own verified domains. Works on every plan including Free, costs send quota, and does not change the broadcast status. Requires a live API key — the mail really is delivered.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- TestBroadcastRequest
  - `to` string[], required: Each address must be on a domain verified on your account — a test send delivers real mail without the paid-plan gate, so it is restricted to inboxes you have proved you control.

## Response `200`

Test sent.

- TestBroadcastResponse
  - `id` string, uuid, required
  - `sent_to` string[], required: Addresses actually mailed, lowercased and de-duplicated.
  - `email_ids` string[], required

## Other responses

- `400`: The request body or query failed validation (`VALIDATION_ERROR`).
- `401`: Missing, malformed, or revoked API key (`UNAUTHORIZED`).
- `403`: A recipient is neither an account email on this organization nor on a verified domain, or a test-mode key was used (`DOMAIN_NOT_VERIFIED`, `FORBIDDEN`).
- `404`: No such resource on this organization (`NOT_FOUND`).
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (`RATE_LIMITED`).
- `500`: Unexpected server error (`INTERNAL_ERROR`). Carries `request_id`.
