# Start a retest for a finding

`POST /v1/findings/{finding_id}/retest/`

Start a retest job for a finding.

Conflicts (409) when a retest already exists or the finding is not
re-testable; rate-limited requests yield 429.

Args:
    finding_id (int): Primary key of the finding.
    db (AsyncSession): Request-scoped database session.
    context (ActiveContext): Resolved caller identity and scope.

Returns:
    SuccessResponse: The pre-rename envelope, naming the retest
        job by its uuid rather than the finding.
