# Verify domain ownership

`POST /v1/domains/{domain_id}/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ethiack.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: none declared

Run the DNS TXT-record check and mark the domain verified on success.

An already verified domain, of either kind, answers success at once
without re-running any proof, as legacy did.

Args:
    domain_id (int): The domain's identifier.
    db (AsyncSession): Request-scoped database session.
    context (ActiveContext): Resolved caller identity and scope.

Returns:
    SuccessResponse: The legacy envelope, ``"Domain verified"``.

Raises:
    VerificationFailedError: The lookup answered and the expected TXT
        record was absent -- answered 422, the documented code, so the
        caller knows to publish it.
    DnsLookupError: No resolver could answer, so the proof was not
        attempted -- answered 503 with ``Retry-After``, never 422,
        which would blame the caller's DNS for our own outage.
    PermissionError: Cerbos denied the activate.
