# Trigger ASM scans

`POST /asm/scans`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://public.escape.tech/v3`
- URL: `https://public.escape.tech/v3/asm/scans`
- Auth: API key in header `X-ESCAPE-API-KEY`

Trigger Attack Surface Management scans on assets matching the given filter. If no filter is provided, scans all monitored assets.

## Request body

- object
  - `where` object: Asset filter predicate; omit to scan all monitored assets
    - `assetIds` string[]: Filter by specific asset IDs
    - `types` string[]: Filter by asset types
    - `statuses` string[]: Filter by asset statuses

## Response `200`

OK

- object
  - `triggered` boolean, required: Whether ASM scans were successfully triggered

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
