# Simulate a stamp outcome (test mode only)

`POST /sandbox/stamps/{id}/simulate`

## Request

Fast-forward a sandbox stamp to a terminal state so you can test polling + webhooks without waiting for real fulfilment. `verified` issues a synthetic certificate and emits `stamp.verified` (plus `order.fulfilled` once the whole order is terminal); `failed` cancels the stamp (releases the hold) and emits `stamp.cancelled`. Requires an `sk_test_` key — returns 403 on a live key.
