# Generate Predictions

`POST /api/predictions/generate`

## Request

Generate astrological predictions based on research-validated correlations.

Uses research findings from 5,885 public figures to predict likely life events
based on upcoming dasha periods and house transits.

Returns predictions with confidence scores and research basis explanations.

## Request body

- PredictionRequest: Request model for generating predictions
  - `date` string, required: Birth date (YYYY-MM-DD)
  - `time` string, required: Birth time (HH:MM)
  - `city` string, required: Birth city
  - `state` string, nullable: Birth state/province
  - `country` string, required: Birth country
  - `timezone` string, nullable: Timezone (auto-detected if not provided)
  - `relationship` string, nullable: Relationship to user (Self, Spouse, Child, etc.)
  - `system` string: Astrological system (vedic/western)
  - `house_system` string: House system
  - `prediction_window_days` integer: Number of days ahead to predict (default 90)
  - `include_event_types` boolean: Include event type predictions
  - `profile_id` string, nullable: The ID of the profile used for this prediction
  - `horoscope_location_type` string, nullable: Location type ('birth' or 'current')
  - `current_place` string, nullable: Relocated current place
  - `current_timezone` string, nullable: Relocated current timezone
  - `current_latitude` number, nullable: Relocated current latitude
  - `current_longitude` number, nullable: Relocated current longitude
