# Sector-specific innovation / implementation score

`GET /api/stocks/{symbol}/innovation`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.equity-rank.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.equity-rank.com/api/stocks/{symbol}/innovation`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Compute and return an innovation score for the given symbol.

- R&D-heavy sectors (Technology, Healthcare, Communication Services,
  Consumer Discretionary, Industrials, Materials): scored on R&D intensity,
  R&D growth, patent activity, and patent velocity.
- CapEx-intensive sectors (Energy, Utilities, Real Estate, Consumer Staples):
  scored on CapEx intensity, CapEx growth, and revenue growth.
- Financials: returns a not_applicable result (no meaningful R&D or CapEx proxy).

Results are cached for 1 year.  Cache key includes the deploy version so
a new production deploy automatically evicts stale entries.
