# Search the tracked directory of registered investment companies and UIT ETFs that file SEC Form NPORT-P. Exact identifiers and verified share-class aliases win; otherwise every punctuation-independent query word is required before a sparse any-word fallback. Results are largest by net assets first and include stored holdingCount, full reportedHoldingCount when available, holdingsCoverage, and a profileId accepted by the fund read endpoints. Money market funds and small business investment companies do not file NPORT-P; fixed-income-only trust series can also be absent from this tracked directory.

  - `totalMatches` integer: Total fund series matching the query, before the limit truncation — when it exceeds the number of rows returned, narrow the query or raise limit.
  - `listingNotice` ListingNotice: What happened to a requested ticker that no longer trades. "delisted": the company has no current US listing, so the answer is its history. "renamed": the company now trades as successorTicker, its current US presentation ticker (possibly another share class). A listed series (short volume, short interest, off-exchange volume, fails-to-deliver, congressional trades) is the retired ticker's own; a company-level read is the company's data.
    - `status` string, nullable: "delisted" or "renamed".
    - `ticker` string, nullable: The retired ticker as listed.
    - `delistedOn` string, date, nullable: The day the retired listing stopped trading, when known.
    - `successorTicker` string, nullable: For "renamed", the company's current US presentation ticker; null for "delisted".

    - `seriesName` string, nullable
    - `registrantName` string, nullable
    - `profileId` string, nullable: Stable profile id (slug) of the fund series in the fund directory. Also accepted in place of the ticker on /v1/funds/{ticker}/holdings and /v1/funds/{ticker}/operations — the way to reach series that have no ticker of their own.
    - `ticker` string, nullable: The directory's single ticker for the series; null when no unique ticker is stored. Multiple share-class tickers are not carried in this field.
    - `fundType` string, nullable: N-CEN registration type when on record, e.g. "N-1A" open-end/ETF, "N-2" closed-end. Null for most sweep-discovered trust series — it is populated only when the fund is matched to an N-CEN filing.
    - `netAssets` number, double: Net assets in USD from the latest report header.
    - `holdingCount` integer: Stored holding rows on the latest report; some trust reports retain only tracked-stock positions.
    - `reportedHoldingCount` integer, nullable: Full investment-row count reported in the latest NPORT-P filing before this platform's storage filter. Null while an older filing awaits parser replay or when EDGAR could not be re-fetched.
    - `holdingsCoverage` string, nullable: "fullPortfolio" when stored and reported counts agree, "trackedEquitiesOnly" when fewer rows are stored, or "unknown" when counts are missing or inconsistent. NetAssets is always the fund's reported total.
    - `latestReportPeriodDate` string, date: Reporting period of the series' latest NPORT-P report.
