# Trip climate

`GET /api/v2/trips/{externalId}/climate`

## Request

The climate profile of the trip's destination. The server holds one classification per destination, not a
month by month series, so this is a description (`temp_range`, `humidity_level`, `precipitation`, the
Koeppen class) and not a forecast. The device may cache it for a day (`private`: the read needs a token, so
no shared cache keeps it); send `If-None-Match` to get a 304. A trip with no
destination, or a destination with no profile, is a 404.

## Other responses

- `304`: If-None-Match matches
- `401`: unauthenticated: No valid bearer token was sent.

- `500`: server_error: Unhandled failure; quote `request_id` to support.
