# Share a trip with an advisor

`POST /api/v2/trips/{externalId}/advisor-shares`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.endlesstravelplans.com`
- URL: `https://www.endlesstravelplans.com/api/v2/trips/{externalId}/advisor-shares`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

`scope` is `view`, `comment` or `edit` and defaults to `view`. The advisor must be one the caller has
consented to link with (422 otherwise). The advisor and the caller are both emailed. A trip already shared
with that advisor, or an advisor who cannot take a share, answers 409 `advisor_share_refused`.

  - `agent_id` integer, required: The advisor, from `advisors`.
  - `scope` string: `view`, `comment` or `edit`.

## Other responses

- `401`: unauthenticated: No valid bearer token was sent.
- `409`
- `422`
- `429`: rate_limited: A throttle or a per-account allowance refused the request; `retry_after` or `remaining` may be present.
- `500`: server_error: Unhandled failure; quote `request_id` to support.
