# Generate the list

`POST /api/v2/packing-lists/{externalId}/generate`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

The results step's generation: the free monthly quota is asked first (403 `quota_exceeded` with the wizard's
text), the list is built from the stored inputs and picks, the caller's own earlier changes are laid over
it, and the list is stored finished. Generating again on a finished list rebuilds it the same way.

- `401`: unauthenticated: No valid bearer token was sent.
