# Cast Vote

`POST /api/v1/votes/{url}/cast`

Cast a vote on a voting session. Public endpoint with duplicate vote prevention.

## Request body

  - `option_ids` integer[], required: The option IDs to vote for.
  - `voter_name` string, nullable: Optional voter name.

## Response `200`

  - `message` string

## Other responses

- `409`
- `422`
- `429`: rate_limited: A throttle or a per-account allowance refused the request; `retry_after` or `remaining` may be present.
- `500`: server_error: Unhandled failure; quote `request_id` to support.
