# Record a Share/Export

`POST /api/v1/share-export/record`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Records a share/export action against the user's monthly quota. The server
is the source of truth: if the user has hit their free monthly limit, the
action is NOT counted and the limit info is returned with remaining: 0.
Otherwise the counter is incremented and the fresh quota info is returned.

## Other responses

- `401`: unauthenticated: No valid bearer token was sent.
- `422`: validation_failed: The request body failed validation; field messages are in `errors`.
- `429`: rate_limited: A throttle or a per-account allowance refused the request; `retry_after` or `remaining` may be present.
- `500`: server_error: Unhandled failure; quote `request_id` to support.
