# Get list of operating systems

`GET /v1/operating-systems`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.emma.ms/external`
- URL: `https://api.emma.ms/external/v1/operating-systems`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns a list of available operating systems of compute instances supported by the cloud providers. The method provides detailed information about each operating system, including its family, type, version, and architecture. Use this list of the operating systems to find an OS when you create any compute instance.

- `architecture` string
- `version` string
- `projectId` integer

## Response `200`

Successful operation

- OperatingSystem[]
  - `id` integer: Operating system ID
  - `family` string: Operating system family
  - `type` string: Operating system type
  - `architecture` string: Operating system architecture
  - `version` string: Operating system version
  - `options` string: Operating system variant label ("Clean" for the base variant, or a driver/GPU label such as "Deep Learning Base OSS Nvidia Driver GPU AMI" for variants)

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `500`: Internal server error
