# Get location by ID

`GET /v1/locations/{locationId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.emma.ms/external`
- URL: `https://api.emma.ms/external/v1/locations/{locationId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns a geographic location by its ID. Locations are cities or states (in the case of the USA) where providers have data centers.

## Path parameters

- `locationId` integer, required

## Query parameters

- `projectId` integer

Successful operation

- Location
  - `id` integer: ID of the geographical location
  - `name` string: Name of the geographical location (city or state)
  - `country` string: Name of the country where the geographical location is situated
  - `continent` string: Name of the geographical continent
  - `region` string: Name of the geographical region
  - `latitude` number, double: Approximate latitude of the geographical location
  - `longitude` number, double: Approximate longitude of the geographical location

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not found
- `500`: Internal server error
