# Delete worker nodes

`DELETE /v1/kubernetes/{kubernetesId}/nodes`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.emma.ms/external`
- URL: `https://api.emma.ms/external/v1/kubernetes/{kubernetesId}/nodes`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes one or more worker nodes from a Managed Kubernetes cluster without a full cluster-update request. The operation is asynchronous: the method returns 204 and the nodes are drained and deleted in the background. Progress is observable via the cluster GET (the nodes stay visible in a deleting status until the underlying compute instances are removed — that is when billing is released).

Nodes that belong to an autoscaling group cannot be removed through this endpoint — change the group configuration instead.
