# Find the phone number of a person

`POST /tools/find/phone`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.emelia.io`
- URL: `https://api.emelia.io/tools/find/phone`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Starts a mobile phone search from a LinkedIn profile URL and returns a `jobId`. Cost: 50 credits, debited when the job starts and refunded when no number is found (results found during the last 6 months are served from cache and still cost 50 credits). The result arrives asynchronously from the provider: poll `GET /tools/find/phone/{jobId}` until `status` is `done`; there is no fixed upper bound on the wait.

  - `linkedinUrl` string, required: Must contain `linkedin.com/in/`.

## Response `200`

Success.

  - `jobId` string: MongoDB ObjectId: 24 hexadecimal characters.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request.
- `401`: Missing, malformed, unknown or disabled API key. The key must be exactly 48 characters, otherwise it is treated as a session token and rejected the same way.
