# Detach the part already extracted from a segmented extraction

`POST /linkedin-scrappers/{id}/split`

## Request

Lets you use now what a long segmented extraction has already collected, while the rest goes on.

Effect: a new scraper named `<name> 1` is created with `status` `done` and the contacts extracted so far; its id is returned in `scrapId`. The original scraper keeps its id, is renamed `<name> 2`, keeps only the chunks not finished yet and restarts its counter (`scrapIndex` back to 0, `totalContact` reduced accordingly). The new part is then imported automatically into an Emelia list, like any finished scraper.

Typical use: enrich or download the first contacts of an extraction that will take days (enrichment requires `status` `done`).

Conditions: `segmented` is true, `status` is neither `enriching` nor `done`, at least one contact was extracted, and nothing was written during the last 10 minutes (otherwise retry later).

Not to be confused with the automatic split of large searches into chunks, which Emelia does by itself on Grow and Scale plans.

## Response `200`

Split done. `scrapId` is the NEW finished scraper.

  - `success` boolean, required
  - `scrapId` string, required: Id of the NEW finished scraper (`<name> 1`) holding the contacts extracted so far. The original id keeps running as `<name> 2`.

## Other responses

- `400`: The scraper cannot be split.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key (`Authorization` header).
- `500`: Unexpected server error. Current behavior: also returned when the per-minute API quota of the workspace is exceeded (30 requests per minute without subscription, 100 on Start, 300 on Grow, 1,000 on Scale). A 429 would be expected; retry after a minute.
