# Pause a segmented extraction

`PUT /linkedin-scrappers/{id}/pause`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.emelia.io`
- URL: `https://api.emelia.io/linkedin-scrappers/{id}/pause`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Pauses a large extraction split into chunks (`segmented: true`, Grow and Scale plans). Only allowed while `status` is `running`. Other scrapers cannot be paused.

The pause is not immediate: the chunk being extracted goes to its end, only the next chunks are unscheduled. `status` becomes `paused`. Restart with `PUT /linkedin-scrappers/{id}/resume`.

A scraper can also be paused by Emelia when it runs on credits (no subscription) and the credits run out.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

Paused.

- ScrapperSuccessResponse
  - `success` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400`: The scraper cannot be paused.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key (`Authorization` header).
- `500`: Unexpected server error. Current behavior: also returned when the per-minute API quota of the workspace is exceeded (30 requests per minute without subscription, 100 on Start, 300 on Grow, 1,000 on Scale). A 429 would be expected; retry after a minute.
