# Set market rent for units

`PATCH /v2/properties/{property_id}/units/market-rents`

Sets market rent for units in a property, rounded to whole dollars.

Only properties that use Elise as their PMS (AIP) accept these writes.
Units not in the request are unchanged. All-or-nothing: any invalid unit fails
the request with 422 and nothing is written. Resending the same request is safe.

- `property_id` integer, required

## Request body

- UnitMarketRentRequest
  - `market_rents` UnitMarketRentEntry[], required: Per-unit market rents
    - `unit_id` string, required: Elise unit ID, as returned by the Units v2 API
    - `market_rent` number, required: Market rent; stored rounded to whole dollars (unit market rent is an integer column)

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- UnitWriteResponse: Response for a successful bulk write. Requests are all-or-nothing: any invalid unit fails the request with 422.
  - `updated` string[], required: Unit IDs that were written, in request order

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - invalid parameters
- `401`: Unauthorized - invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Forbidden - insufficient permissions, or property is not AIP
- `409`: Property does not allow this rent field to be set through the API; nothing is written
- `422`: Validation error, including any invalid unit; nothing is written
- `500`: Internal server error
- `503`: Another pricing write for this property is in progress; retry
