# Download History Items

`POST /v1/history/download`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.elevenlabs.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.elevenlabs.io/v1/history/download`
- Auth: none declared

Download one or more history items. If one history item ID is provided, we will return a single audio file. If more than one history item IDs are provided, we will provide the history items packed into a .zip file.

## Headers

- `xi-api-key` string, nullable: Your API key. This is required by most endpoints to access our API programmatically. You can view your xi-api-key using the 'Profile' tab on the website.

## Request body

- BodyDownloadHistoryItemsV1HistoryDownloadPost
  - `history_item_ids` string[], required: A list of history items to download, you can get IDs of history items and other metadata using the GET https://api.elevenlabs.io/v1/history endpoint.
  - `output_format` string, nullable: Output format to transcode the audio file, can be wav or default.

## Response `200`

The requested audio file, or a zip file containing multiple audio files when multiple history items are requested.
