# Upload File

`POST /v1/convai/conversations/{conversation_id}/files`

Upload an image, PDF, or text file for a conversation. Returns a unique file ID that can be used to reference the file in the conversation.

- `conversation_id` string, required

- `xi-api-key` string, nullable: Your API key. This is required by most endpoints to access our API programmatically. You can view your xi-api-key using the 'Profile' tab on the website.
