# Unlink a fork from its upstream

`DELETE /connector/{slug}/link-upstream`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.elaichi.ai`
- URL: `https://api.elaichi.ai/connector/{slug}/link-upstream`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes the connector's declared upstream link. Needs `connector:manage`, not merely edit on the connector: a restriction on an upstream also binds everything declared downstream of it, so detaching that link would otherwise let a fork's own author shed a block while keeping the connector's live connections. Use it to repair a lineage row pointed at the wrong upstream; `POST` the correct one afterwards.

## Path parameters
